In addition to working with the 4 pillars of mindfulness for meditation which include: Mindfulness of Body, Mindfulness of Feeling (vedana), Mindfulness of Mind and Mindfulness of Mental Objects we will deepen by unpacking the foundational pillars necessary to build and establish a successful meditation practice together: • Abhyasa - steady practice • Pratyaphija – acknowledgement of what is • Utsaha – fortitude or perserverance • Supravi – focused attentive mindfulness • Saralata – honesty of what is (different than truthfulness) • Vairagya – impartiality to sensations, or emotions • Saralya – innocence • Adambha – sincerity • Nirodhyama – process of transcendence • Acesta – effortless presence • Viveka – intuitive discrimination • Vimoksa – persistence in letting go • Susravasya – receptivity or willingness to receive • Satyakarman – truthfulness in action • Anutseka – humility
